Regulation will come I am sure. In fact, there have been issues recently with IP/ copyrights on BitClout — with people literally taking parts off Google images and stock images, without a license, sticking them together, and calling that an “NFT”.

This does get found out by the community eventually, and reputational damage is what keeps these people in check for now, though they can easily get away with it as I observed.

This is definitely a fascinating legal/ IP challenge. If you look at some of Beeple’s most famous peaces, you’ll see IP and characters both fictional and real (like Buzz Lightyear, or Donal Trump)…yes, as he states, he has had no claims or issues with this so far.

An area to watch for sure!
