Is there a market for a new, 'trustless' World Wide Web? Ad-free, content and news filtered by a token system whereby credible 'crowd auditors' would get rewarded for validating information and sources (thereby addressing the 'fake news' issues). Rather than a centrally-controlled ranking mechanism (e.g. Google's PangeRank), the rankings would be defined directly by the users, who can reward a piece of content, information or site by rewarding it with tokens of pre-defined values. Each web page and site would be hashed in a Blockchain, starting with a 'seed' page that would essentially act as a genesis hash - then going on to crawling, parsing and indexing the entire web. Any thoughts welcome on this and what such an experiment could look like!
