Hello there,

Passive investment in this context implies investing in passive funds - as opposed to actively managed ones, thereby saving on the associated costs. Investing in broad, diversified funds, as opposed to individual stock picking thereby only spending a very minimal amount of time every month to build long-term capital, spreading bets across a large range of holdings all in a few clicks.

Yes, there are fees involved of course, which as above can be minimized and this doesn't take away from the fact that spending 10 minutes a month to go from £0 to £100k in the space of 5 years of investing is "passive".

Unless by passive you mean to pay no fee whatsoever, and somehow spend less than a few minutes a month on building wealth which I am not sure about!
