Do you have any idea why Mr Paty was beheaded? Did he even make any "blasphemous" statements?

Or was he leading a class on freedom of speech, i.e. doing his job as a teacher in the Republic of a democratic, secular-based nation?

"Creating hatred between communities"...as part of such classes any religion and religious figures could be discussed. That doesn't mean attacked, by the way. Simply discussed, shown, portrayed in ways that may appear shocking to some, but that is the whole point. As for "young kids", 4eme in France is 2 years prior to entry in high school, i.e. around 14 years old. An age where the values of the Republic and democratic principles are already known and inculcated.

The worst and the greatest irony in all of this is that those who respond to the caricatures, respond with blatant hate themselves, proving the caricature precisely RIGHT; all the while the person using their freedom of expression is the one who is "creating hatred"...Excuse me??

This is similar to Mila's incident, subjected to homophobic abuse. She ended up being blamed by the Muslim community of "hate" for expressing a view that a religion that encourages people to insult others like she had been insulted, was indeed hateful (but making the distinction between religion and human beings that are apart of it). Whereas when a Muslim makes such statements, that is not "hate", the original comment which started the whole thing is conveniently slipped under the rug and they get away with it?!

You have to be kidding?!
